Local lawn care companies, straight answers
Lawn care that turns up on the day it said, cuts at the right height, and treats the weeds that actually grow here.
About Nashville's Lawn Care
Nashville's Lawn Care is a lawn care company serving Nashville and 64 more towns across 12 counties of Middle Tennessee — and we stake our name on how the work goes.
The complaint about lawn services is never the mowing; it is the crew that comes Thursday one week and Monday the next, scalps the fescue in July, and sprays a product that does nothing to nutsedge. A route that holds its day and a technician who knows Bermuda from fescue is the whole difference.
What we do
- Hold the day. Your lawn is on a fixed route; if weather moves it, you hear before the crew does not arrive.
- Cut for the grass you have. Fescue at three and a half inches in summer, Bermuda short and often; the height is set by the turf, not by how fast the crew wants to finish.
- Price the season up front. One number for the mowing season, one for treatments, before the first visit.
What we will not do
- Mow wet. It rutts the yard and spreads disease; a rain day is a moved day, not a ruined lawn.
- Spray what will not work. A pre-emergent in June is money burned; the treatment calendar follows the weeds, not the invoice cycle.
- Lock you into a year. Month to month, cancel with a call; a service that needs a contract to keep customers has answered the question.
What we actually work on
Weekly lawn care across Nashville.
The lawn care problems Middle Tennessee homeowners bring us most often:
- Grass growing faster than you can cut it
- Crabgrass and weeds taking over
- Bare or patchy spots
- Lawn browns out every July
- Leaves smothering the grass
- No time at weekends
Who does the work
A crew is not sent until we have its insurance certificate on file and, for anyone treating a lawn, the Tennessee applicator license the state requires for commercial spraying.
Beyond the paperwork, the test is how somebody handles the part of a lawn care job that does not go to plan — the honest call when the estimate has to change, and whether you hear about it before the work or after. The lawn care companies who stay with us are the ones who have passed that test on jobs we know about.
Why we do not publish reviews yet
There are no testimonials on this site yet, on purpose — a lawn company this new quoting happy customers would be quoting somebody else’s, and we would rather show you a clean edge than a borrowed star.
Where we work
The Nashville route continues through Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Hendersonville; in all, 65 towns across 12 counties are cut on fixed days. Each of the main cities has its own page — what its houses mean for lawn care, who issues the permits, which neighborhoods are inside the run.
If you want to understand the work before you speak to anyone, our lawn care guide covers what drives the price, what your options are and what a badly done job looks like — written so you can judge any lawn care company in the region, including us.
Who we are
Everything written for Nashville's Lawn Care is the responsibility of Michael Blair, who owns and runs the company. The pages follow Tennessee code, the manufacturers’ documentation for the products and equipment, and how lawns here are really kept, and they are updated when any of that moves; posts go out under his name with their dates. Our crews are insured, those who spray hold the state license, every one of them works to the commitments listed here, and Nashville's Lawn Care stands behind the work.
Mowing needs no state contractor’s license, so ask any lawn company for its certificate of insurance before the first visit. Anyone spraying your lawn needs a Tennessee commercial applicator license; if a contractor’s license applies to a job, verify.tn.gov shows it, and for the rare job that needs a permit, your town’s office is named on its city page.
